Within the 50th Anniversary Edition, Francisco Segarra proposes a coating inspired by this ancient ceramic production technique, Raku. Raku consists of the use of ceramics with metallic glazes in special ovens that, when the firing temperature is reached, are extracted and deposited on wood or paper shavings. This heat generates combustion and therefore such an amount of smoke that it penetrates the piece and becomes part of it. This has been the inspiration of Francisco Segarra who, as a result of experimentation with this technique, presents a brick format covering with the colors, textures, nuances and crackles typical of this type of product.
