Technical characteristics
Iroko is a tropical wood with excellent qualities of resistance, hardness, stability, and waterproofness. It is a very versatile natural material that can be used in many areas, including the manufacture of bathroom furniture. It originates from central and eastern Africa, features very characteristic grain and coloration, and its qualities are very similar to those of teak wood. It is a product of natural origin, so it may present variations in texture and tone from its source. Likewise, it is considered sensitive to environmental agents and may show tone variations after exposure to UV rays, becoming grayer depending on the exposure. This process is inevitable and gives the product its own personality and unique characteristics. Even so, it is possible to maintain the original qualities of the wood through proper treatment.
